Whether you are heading to Goyang for a K-pop concert or a football match, getting there from Seoul is easier than you think.ย

Goyang Stadium (also known as Goyang Sports Complex) is located in the northwest of the Seoul Metropolitan Area.

Here are the best ways to get there like a local.

1. The Fastest Way: GTX-A (High-Speed Rail) โšก

As of 2026, the GTX-A line is the game-changer for traveling to Goyang. It is significantly faster than the regular subway.

  • Route: Take the GTX-A from Seoul Station to KINTEX Station.

  • Travel Time: Only about 15โ€“20 minutes from Seoul Station.

  • From KINTEX Station: You can take a quick 5-minute taxi or a short bus ride (Buses 83, 98, or 062A) to reach the stadium. It is about a 15โ€“20 minute walk if you prefer to go on foot.

2. The Most Reliable Way: Subway Line 3 (Orange Line)ย

If you are coming from areas like Myeongdong, Gyeongbokgung, or Gangnam, Line 3 is your best friend.

  • Closest Station: Daehwa Station (Line 3). This is the terminus (the very last stop).

  • How to get to the Stadium: Take Exit 3. Walk straight for about 5โ€“10 minutes, and youโ€™ll see the stadium's East Gate right in front of you.

  • Travel Time: * From Myeongdong: ~60 minutes.

    • From Gyeongbokgung: ~50 minutes.

3. The Direct Way from Hongdae: Red Express Bus ๐ŸšŒ

If you are staying in Hongdae (Hongik University Station), taking a bus is often more convenient than the subway because it's a direct shot.

  • Bus Number: M7731 (Red Express Bus).

  • Where to board: Near Hongik Univ. Station Exit 2.

  • Where to get off: Daehwa Station.

  • Travel Time: Approximately 40โ€“50 minutes depending on traffic.

๐Ÿ’ก Quick Tip for Travelers๐Ÿ’กย

To use the GTX, Subway, and Buses mentioned above, you will need a T-money card.ย

It is Koreaโ€™s universal transportation card. Without it, youโ€™ll have to buy single-use tickets every time, which is a huge hassle!

  • Bus 9700: Goes to Gangnam.

  • Bus 1500 / 9707: Goes to Yeongdeungpo.
